Misheard Song Lyrics and Sub Throbbers

Anybody who knows me, knows that I love a misheard song lyric. From the very first time I heard “I believe in milko” (Hot Chocolate – You sexy thing) and “I can see you, your bra strap shining in the sun” (Don Henley – The Boys of Summer), I have been hooked on misheard lyrics. I am always looking out for new ones, so feel free to send me your suggestions.

Here are some more:

“Give me an iron lung” (Steve Winwood – Higher Love)

“There’s nothing that a hundred men on Mars could ever do” (Toto – Africa)

“Scuse me while I kiss this guy” (Jimi Hendrix – Purple Haze)

“It doesn’t make a difference if we’re naked or not” (Bon Jovi – Livin on a Prayer)

“It’s a mirror ball” (Richie Blackmores Rainbow – Hunting Humans)

“What you digging in your lip?” (Bee Gees – You should be dancing)

“Let the man that’s in the music get to you” (MJ – Off the Wall)

The other thing that I really like is a tune that makes the subwoofer throb. So I am now introducing a sub throb rating into my song reviews, the scale goes from 1 to 10 and here’s an idea of how it works:

1 = A baby could sleep through it

5 = Nice average bangin beat

10 = The neighbours have called the police

Let me know your sub throbbers and I’ll test them out 🙂 I have a few favourites coming up soon.
